Following Up - Why Do It?

Normally, I subscribe to the viewpoint that if your audience don't get it first time round, forget it. "If anyone has eyes, let him see. If anyone has ears, ;let him hear."
Not yesterday's post. Why? Unlike any other conspiracy theory, it actually affects ALL of us (melodrama intended).
You see, when it gets a little crazy and things look like they're spinning out of control, most people either:
a. turn to God or whatever superpower they believe in; OR
b. try to harness("exploit" may be more suitable) some bigger force to their advantage.
I should know; that's the unspoken expectation people have when they turn to the law.(Then blame the lawyers for the loopholes and imperfections in man-made rules).
People who choose b will naturally suck up to the "Chosen" in my last post. Sucking up leads to playing by their rules. Domination sequence completed.
People who choose a aren't out of the "danger zone". Somewhere along the way, their need/desire to regain sanity or control over the situation just makes it easier to psyche themselves into believing that God/the Being is telling them to play along with these "Chosen" people. The divine message is that they will unwittingly play into the hands of God, so all will be fine. There's even a biblical verse for it: "Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's". Ergo, domination sequence completed.
See how serious it can be? The picture of shophouses against the skyscraper against sky seems apposite to my words from "The Sound of Silence":
"Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you
But my words like silent raindrops fell
In the night
And echoed in the well
Of Silence"
